The art of Pinstriping, a special form of custom painting, had its origin in the early 1940s. The Hot Rod and Custom car scene has been able to develop this special technique into its own art form.

By using a special brush  either a sword-liner or scroll brush  to apply lines not only requires  a lot of skill and practice, it is necessary to use the right paint.

Together with the USA pinstripe legend, Herb Martinez, aka 'the Line Doctor' , the team from Fashion Paint has developed a new paint, which fulfills the highest demands and facilitate the Pinstripers craft.

Technological advances and developments during the last few years involving the  raw materials, especially in the urethane field, are relevant for the unmatched characteristics of our range of Pinstriping Paints.

This research served as a cornerstone to the successful development of this product range, combined with input from various artists, as well as addressing the existing weaknesses of other products. The result is our latest addition to the product range from Fashion Paint.

The viscosity of the paint can be adjusted according to requirements of the pinstriper by the addition of the "Pinstripe Reducer". An addition of 10 - max. 20% is technically feasible and does not change the unsurpassed opacity.

If the user desires a higher resistance and hardness this  can be achieved  by using the "Pinstripe hardener". The addition of the hardener into the Pinstripe base material is 10 - 15%. The subsequent adjustment of the viscosity is achieved through the "Pinstripe Reducer".

For those artists wishing to lacquer over their work, The UHS clear coat lacquer out of the Fashion Paint product range is recommended. Using the Clear Coat lacquer achieves a very high layer thickness.

For best results, it is necessary to comply with the technical data sheets. Furthermore, we expressly point out that it is essential that the necessary components, which are coordinated and compatible are used. Only by using them all the physical characteristics can be met.
